I’m having a hard time finding reviews for this phone. I’ve only seen yours and read one other. The other one really bashed the Oddyssey. It said it is really hard to hear phone calls since there is no volume control, plus some other complaints. What do you think?

This phone does have a volume control on the side. I cant really say anything bad about it. I really like this phone alot myself. Ill be posting up some new reviews pretty soon. Let me know what you think about the phone when you get it.

i have just (1 and a half months) bought this phone, it is so awesome!! But i have a prob…. since this mobile doesn’t even have a brand name on it I’m finding it difficult to find java apps for it. eBuddy and Opera were working good in the first 2 weeks, now they are opening but the touching, in eBuddy and Opera only, doesn’t work or it is messed up (If “sign in” is at the bottom i have to click on the top so that it will sign in). I dont need Opera, since i have safari, but, can anyone send me the default eBuddy prog for this phone?? thx

You should try to see if you can reset it to its default settings. It kinda sounds like you messed up some settings int he phone and it needs to be reset. If you need help with this, let me know and I will see what I can find for you.

2)Will this phone work with virgin mobile(carrier)
3)Will the TV function work in australia?
4)And just making sure, this phone can be charged by the usb adapter thing right?

I apologize for not getting to you right away. I have been extremely busy and haven’t been able to put very much time into my site for a while now. Anyways, YOu can install apps on this phone by downloading or transferring Java applications to your phone and running it from there. It is very easy to do. If virgin mobile uses a sim card, then it will work fine. The TV function works in a very large amount of countries, so I would be surprised if it didn’t work in Australia. And yes, you can charge it with the USB adapter or a wall plug in. I hope this helps you out. Please let me know what you think of the phone after you get a chance to use it for a while.

I live in an area where we don’t get much signal. I have a tilt and I get some reception. With the Odyssey I don’t get reception in the same places I do with the Tilt, other than reduced reception I like the Odyssey, the battery lasts quite a bit longer than the Tilt, and some places I don’t need wifi with the tilt I can somehow access email and stuff, might be because of a data package? Not sure how that works but I need wifi with the Odyssey.

Hello, just found your site and want to let everyone know my experience with the Odyssey…Purchased from Chinavasion.com per my oldest son. Rec’d and popped in the first battery and worked immediately. The accompanying handbook that walks you through the settings, etc.. is TERRIBLE! I pretty much have fumbled my way around and after a month, know how to text, call, take pictures, etc..However, I haven’t been able to get the WIFI to work, the accelerometer to work, download ringtones, or download anything, period. Frustrated, I’ve given it to two tech-geeks that I know, and they haven’t figured it out either. The camera is awesome, I like the size, and all the other elements work great; and I’m sure I could get the other features to work if it had come with a better guide! I would so appreciate anyone’s help with this phone!!!

I have just bought the Odyssey phone (received yesterday) and I have a couple of questions. First, is there any way to know for sure how it is connecting when using internet apps / browser? I need to know whether it is using wifi or my cell carrier. Is there some way to completely block the phone from going online unless it is connected to wifi. I cannot afford to get a huge bill because it unknowingly connected via my cell phone service. (I do not have a data plan.) Also, does anyone else have issues with other people hearing them on the phone? If so, were you able to fix it and how?

the touch screen works great. It is just like the Iphone. I can’t remember exactly how many mega pixels the camera is. I want to say it is like 1.5 tho. It will work with Vodaphone since they use a sim card. I used to have Vodaphone in Italy myself. I can’t say for sure if the T.V. function will work in your country, but I want to say that it will. It had a very large number of countries in the station list. Hope it helps.
